Men Using Hair Removal Products to Feel … Attractive?

Removing body hair has become much more common for men these days. Back in the days men who did not have body or facial hair were not seen as ‘manly’. Today, this view has changed. More and more men are now using hair removal treatments in order to get rid of it. Now what I wonder is whether or not this trend has emerged because women’s perceptions of what is ‘hot’ plays a role. Women used to think that it was a sign of masculinity to see a man with their chest hair exposed. Nowadays, every fitness magazine and ad that contains a male in it has them hairless. They even have their armpit hair removed! The thing is that women who look at these ads think to themselves, “ So this is what a hot cover model looks like” and this is why they ask their boyfriends or husbands to start shaving or waxing their body hair. In order to feel wanted and attracted by the opposite sex, men start to give in and conform to what they think is what woman want. They feel as though they have to look this way to fit in.

What is your take on the issue?

Culture of Hair

Have you noticed that hair is perceived differently according to your surroundings? As mentioned in our previous posts, North Americans associate hair with dirt. This is not the same in every culture. There are many cultures in where the opposite occurs. If men have no body hair they are perceived as feminin. Also if women have some body hair, society sees it as the norm. This indicates that it depends on the country or culture, whether or not you will sell the hair removal product. If you are in India for example, this product will not fair as well as if it was in Canada or in the United States.

Please comment on this phenomenon and indicate whether you agree with this statement. Also the top comment will be published in our next post.

Winter is on its way

Some men find that keeping a beard during the cold winter days help keeps them warm. Now i know women do not have beards, lets thank god for that! but can there be some similarities to men in there hair removal care during cold temperatures. Perhaps some women shave or wax there body less frequently as the weather drops, especially since you wont be wearing any of those summer skirts for a while.
What are your thoughts on this subject? do you find that some women, like yourself, might prolong their hair removal process due to any of these or other factors mentioned?

Had you realized…?

As you can see, if you think “global”, the more years pass by, the more men tend to get more feminist.
You can notice that nowadays, men take care of themselves much more than a few years ago; they take care of their body, their shape, their skin, their hair as well as of their skin’s hair.
Lately, many men also shave/remove their body’s hair and care about having less hair to no hair at all.
What do you think about this change?
Do you think a cream could be used by these men?

Hair = Barbarians

When we take a look at the ancient empires such as the roman and the Greek you could see that hair, mustache and beard are related to the men. At that time the women’s were also aware about their beauty and removed their facial hairs with several techniques of that time. People with beard and hair were also related to the barbarians who lived in the north of the Roman Empire which were very hairy and almost never removed their beard. Through the Centuries to hairy women’s were not seen as beautiful, because it was once accepted that women’s were hairless that’s the feature what makes them different then the men. Nowadays through the media the women’s mentally forced to be hairless and also remove their facial hair, if they would be accepted through their environment and society. Let’s be honest, if you going to apply for a job as a female you should look like a very nice and attractive. Also the famous models and female actors are hairless and that is the perfect example for the women’s they should follow her, because that is the way to become beautiful and accepted through the society. Shortly it is considered as unhygienic through the centuries and the media has played a very important role by creating the best women model for the society.

Nature is unfair !!!!

Some women have mustaches and other not, that depend of their level of testosterone or their heredity factors.
Moreover some women are “luckiest” than other, blond have more preposition to laser for hair removal and they can have a little mustaches and because of the light colors we don’t see it.
But the real question is why is it considered as unhygienic and ugly?
Because when we think about the idea that women have more long head hair than men but not above their lips… that can be contradictory!
The most obvious reason is that nature (society?) decided that mustache will be a men feature as body hair in general which is I think totally UNFAIR!

This is a women point of view.

Now women or men we are waiting for your reactions on this question…
